Man I miss the pond so much, especially when the track is running this direction. It sets you up for the downhill with more speed and makes it more challenging of a section. I know its not the tracks fault its gone, I just miss it.

Tortelli was my favorite rider then and this was the only race I missed recording in 2000. Thanks for letting me see Torelli show why he was the only guy RC said he ever worried about. Steel City 2000 is a good race too with the massive jump some of the 250 guys do in the table tops is MASSIVE!.

RC was on a 2 stroke in 05 indoor and then a 4 stroke in the outdoor and here in 06 he is on a 4 stroke again and so is Stewart..did everyone have to ride 4 strokes at this point???

Fact is in 2006 they were not giving an option rather told this is what we want you on. These bikes were not supercross ready back then.

Craziest thing (for me) was finding out just a couple years ago that MC and RC were really good friends at the time.

When you are in an heavy evening, mixing, so you end up on mx vid's, and It still 20 years later so beautiful and unbelievable. I "hope" Jett has a lil one like here this year and makes a vid in HD for the next 20 years too ! It is materials for the kids :)

At the end, Ricky was not just celebrating that win. He knew how much work he had put in during the off season, and how much stronger he was compared to his former self. He knew what was to come.

McGrath was the ideal champion... he was always humble. Ricky's team built him a multi year championship bike and they did what no other team ever did... They began scouting other racers especially McGrath. Jeremys' career was based on as fast as he can through 12 -15 laps, rip off a big lead then glide home. He later admitted; Outdoor wasn't his gig and the 30 min race, length and difficulty of track took all his strength and the big admission; even in SX he just didn't have the stamina for 20 full tilt laps that Ricky brought to the table... Rick did change Mx & Sx racing... basically a Tiger Woods mentality... Tigers tournament thought process... Go as low as you can in the first two day... End of Friday; Tiger is 8-10 strokes ahead. Ricky's thought process... "you better have the stamina to keep up with me"
